History

Kankakee Valley Steel is located 26 miles south of Valparaiso, Indiana off Highway 49 within 20 miles of I-65 in a small town called Tefft. Kankakee Valley Steel became Incorporated in 1968 while maintaining a manufacturing facility consisting of 30,000 square feet with a seven acre boundary. At that time, the company employed less than twenty workers. Now, Kankakee Valley Steel employs 47 dedicated and hard working people who strive to reach annual sales of $4.5 million per year with a planned growth rate of 7 to 12 percent. Balanced growth has been achieved through selected marketing of high quality products in the Construction and O.E.M. Markets.

      Kankakee Valley Steel has the ability to serve the construction market nationwide. Due to its marketing strategy which supports O.E.M. accounts employing Just-In-Time inventory control, Kankakee Valley Steel focuses on developing and serving industrial markets in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
